But for JFK-SFO, where AA has limited flights, adding the B6 frequency is helpful. On the other hand BA already flies nonstop to SFO (as well as LAX), so not sure how attractive it would be for people to break up their trips and transit through JFK, particularly when you have to transit between T8 and T5.

On the longer BOS/JFK routes, there's a business class product (Mint) that beats out any narrow body product AA has (until their new FC launches)

I dont if Mint is hands down better than AA business:
- Mint has 4 throne seats (though some wont like the narrow wedge for your feet).
- Food on Mint probably better.
- IFE and supplied B&O headphones better on AA
- Bedding about equal.
- AA will get you Flagship Lounge access at JFK and Admirals at BOS.
Also you may get an OpUp to AA First which I think is certainly better than B6 2-2 seats and probably better the throne seats.

On most Mint routes out of BOS/JFK, AA is running a recliner, not a lie-flat, and isn't eligible for a lounge anyways unless you're carrying OW status

My comparison was given a route where you had the choice of Mint or AA A321T like JFK/LAX-SFO-SNA and BOS-LAX.
And for those routes, you can access the lounge by virtue of your Business class ticket and not OW status. Though if you do have OW status, then you could even get access to the SoHo lounge if you are OWE.

I don't need a lounge if the choice is the superior B6 Mint onboard lie-flat, meals/drinks etc, and possibly Priority Pass "Be Relax Spa" T5 JFK as an option (which is very nice). Another vote for B6 over AA in biz.

I have not had the opportunity to fly Mint so I can't comment on the product, but my point stands that the vast majority of the B6 fleet is coach only. I'm not saying that as a bad or good thing, just making people aware. If folks buy a Club ticket across the ocean, I don't want them to be surprised by the lack of front cabin on most Jetblue flights.
