A Portales-area married couple are dead after what Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating as a murder suicide. The bodies of Elisa Aleman and her husband Aurelio Flores were found late Thursday night in one room of their home in the 1900 block of Westview-Garnet Road northwest of Portales. Deputies had responded to a call about apparent gunshot victims, said Deputy Eric Muller. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Officers with the Region 5 Drug Task Force on Sunday morning arrested a man accused of possession of $270,000 worth of methamphetamine.
